The growth of our race team pushed us to release chalk talk videos in order to reach as many people as possible as meeting in person became impossible. We've been pleased with the benefits of team members being able to watch videos on their own time in the comfort of their homes and having the ability to pause or rewind information for understanding or note taking.
The channel has had reach beyond the United States and we enjoy interacting with sailors of all ages from all across the world who find our videos helpful. We hope you enjoy our channel and learn something along the way! |
FJ vs. 420Here we discuss the differences between the two most common racing boats in college sailing. Though they have very similar sizes, there are fundamental differences that, with appropriate knowledge and adjustment, will advance your efficiency in competition.

How a Race WorksAimed at new sailors or new parents of sailors, this video takes everything back to square one and aims to simplify the regatta experience for new audiences. To the untrained eye, regattas can appear messy and unorganized, but we hope to give you the skills to be an active observer and make spectating an enjoyable activity.

As with every content producer, UGA Sailing does not claim to be experts in every aspect of our field. We enjoy the conversations sparked in the comments and encourage viewers to read below the videos about opinions of others and what contrasting information they might have. Of course, once a video is published, there is no way to edit the information shared without a complete re-upload, but we can only do our best and hope that you read the comments offered by other sailors.
